Crossfire series fly rod blanks were developed by Speedline from 2018, and have been tested by many pro angler worldwide. The blanks is constructed based on carbon helical core technology(a-helix), High modulus unidirectional carbon fiber. In order make the blank light and strong, the new tech of C-stent applied. Tory fine strip are wrapped above the precisely layered unidirectional carbon fiber prepreg, due the tension applied on the carbon strips, the density of the blank become very high, so the same mass of the blank is much stronger than the normal blanks. follwoing is the details of the blank

    Hi Xin,

I finally took the Crossfire 907 out to cast again today, in warm weather (29 or 30C)and modest breezes (10-15 km/h). I can honestly say that the Crossfire 907 is a spectacular rod, and in my opinion, maybe the nicest casting rod that I have ever tested, no matter who designed it.

It is such a pleasant rod to cast; effortless 90’ casts, and 80’ on a single false cast. Upwind, downwind and across; no issues. For every complaint that I may have voiced about the 908 Crossfire, the 907 Crossfire is truly superb.  With that size rod, I prefer the Crossfire over the 907 Damascus and even over the 907 Discovery. This rod will be my first choice. Congratulations.

The line was a Rio Bonefish WF 7 although the line specs can be found at the Rio website , but I added a screenshot of the details below.  The longer head makes it very easy to cast and handle.  I prefer those lines for my tropical fishing as they perform very well.  The reel seat is an Alps triangular and the handle has 15 corks (7.5”) for the main handle and 3 corks including a rubberized butt cork. See the second photo.

More details.  I re-did the CCS and got an ERN of 8.03.

    The rod has 10 guides (#12 and #16 strippers), plus 5 x #3 snake (North American designation, Seaguide snakes), 2 x #4 snake, 1 x #5 snake guide
